Your Data, Our Promise

PlayNexy exists to help gamers build and share experiences. This document outlines how we honor that mission by protecting the data that makes it possible. We believe privacy is not a compliance hurdle, but a foundation of trust. This policy is written for real people—no legalese, just clear commitments.

Our Privacy Principles

These aren't just policies; they are the operational guidelines our engineers and designers follow every day.

Data Minimization

We collect only what is essential to provide and improve the PlayNexy service. This means we avoid storing device identifiers, precise location history, or behavioral data beyond what is necessary for game analytics. For example, we track which features are used within the app to prioritize development, but we do not build detailed profiles of individual player habits. If a feature can function without a specific data point, we don’t collect it.

Purpose Limitation

Every piece of data has a defined purpose. Data collected for in-app purchases is used solely for transaction processing and fraud prevention—it never leaves our secure payment systems. Data used for personalizing a game's difficulty is stored locally on your device when possible, and if it must be synced, it's anonymized and encrypted. We do not repurpose data for unrelated advertising or sell it to third parties. This is a hard line we do not cross.

User Autonomy

You should be in control. Every PlayNexy user has immediate access to a data dashboard where they can view, export, or delete their personal information. We provide these tools not as a hidden setting, but as a central feature of the account page. If you decide to leave PlayNexy, our account deletion process is clear, permanent, and initiates within 24 hours of your request, with a confirmation email provided.

Key Terms, Plainly Defined

Understanding the language makes the policy clear.

Personal Data

Any information linked to you, like your email address or username. We treat this with the same confidentiality as a medical file.

Anonymized Data

Information stripped of personal identifiers. This is used for aggregate statistics (e.g., "70% of players use feature X") and cannot be traced back to you.

Processors

Trusted third parties (like cloud hosting providers) that handle data under our strict instructions. We vet them like hiring a new engineer.

Legitimate Interest

The legal basis for necessary security and fraud prevention measures, balanced against your fundamental rights.

Balancing Features & Privacy

We must make conscious choices. Here are three common trade-offs in our development process and how we navigate them.

1

Rich Analytics vs. Data Collection

Trade-off: Detailed player journey maps require more data.

Mitigation: We anonymize data at the source and focus on cohort trends, not individual paths, using differential privacy techniques.

2

Cross-Device Sync vs. Privacy

Trade-off: Seamless progress across phone, tablet, and PC needs user accounts.

Mitigation: We offer guest mode (local storage only) and provide clear opt-in for account creation. Sync data is encrypted end-to-end.

3

Social Features vs. Exposure

Trade-off: Friend systems and leaderboards can reveal identity.

Mitigation: We use pseudonymous usernames by default and give users control over visibility settings for every social feature.

Aggregate analytics vs. individual user data

We prioritize aggregate insights over individual tracking wherever possible.
